Golly Farm Cottages

Stayed here last year and found it an ideal break - peaceful, quiet and beautiful. The studio had everything we needed, making the stay very easy and relaxed. Also very clean, spacious for a studio, and with clear instructions left as needed. One of our party has mobility issues so the ample parking right beside the studio was much appreciated. Mandy was welcoming, very efficient and available, but unobtrusive - ideal set up for us. We've been looking forward all year to staying again - it was wonderful being amid such beautiful countryside, but also able to head into Chester when we felt like it. And then retreat back here. The place has such a lovely feel to it, particularly when watching the sun set over the fields with a glass of wine on the terrace!

“Golly Farm is a superb quality place to stay! Mandy is an incredible host who communicates well and knows just how to make her guests feel welcome and at home. Her attention to detail is second to none and we loved the style and finishing touches. There's a good selection of dvds and books and two pubs within a 40 minute walk along the lanes into Rossett. We ate at The Alyn and we're served well by very friendly staff. We highly recommend Golly Farm if you're thinking of visiting Chester and Alexander's Live is a great little venue in Chester if you fancy an evening of live entertainment! Beautiful cottage. I was so impressed with host and hospitality. Not many people baking cake for your arrival but Mandy does. She is great host and this stay was by far my favourite. We will definitely return. Also this place is very dog friendly and Chester town too so if you want combine both, town seeing and quite and relaxing stay away then the Golly Cottage is the place for you.”

“Mandy is a fantastic host, the studio apartment as lovely and clean with everything you could need in there. We had a 6 month old with us so Mandy added a travel cot and high chair in the room that made the stay much easier. We will definitely be booking a stay there next time we are visiting the area.

This was a lovely cottage that provided us with everything we needed, and we particularly enjoyed that it was so warm and comfortable and sparkling clean. We thought it represented excellent value and would have no hesitation in recommending it. We also very much enjoyed Mandy's lemon drizzle cake !
