Overview

The elegant apartments, MacRuairi, Tioram, Shiel and Somerled, form a classic courtyard style house - Garmoran Square. The names of them are local landmarks and historic places. The apartments are in a new building, completed in September 2006, which were designed to look like typical 100-year-old croft-byres, with a modern twist. This sympathises with the local landscape and other buildings using the local stone.

What is the capacity for Garmoran Square?

Tioram has three bedrooms and sleeps six guests at one time. It is set over two doubles and one twin bedroom. Shiel has two bedrooms, sleeping four, both properties have views overlooking Ben Resipole. MacRuairi sleeps just two guests in one double bedroom and Somerled has three bedrooms that sleep up to six guests set over two doubles and one twin bedroom.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Acharacle area?

Situated in Mingarry, Moidart, gateway to Ardnamurchan on the picturesque west coast of the Scottish Highlands just one hour from Fort William (Outdoor Capital of the UK) and within easy reach of the Isle of Mull, Mallaig, Small Isles and the Isle of Skye. The area is popular for walking- walk to suit all levels of fitness and skill with thousands of square miles of hills, glens, lochs, lakes, rivers and beautiful coastlines. From named forest trails to expeditions to Munrobagger.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

The apartments are designed for the perfect self-catering holiday, however, if you do wish to dine out, just a five-minute drive will take you to the nearby town where you will see a selection of bakers, grocers, pubs and restaurants offering high quality locally produced food and drink.
