A fabulous five day break in a beautiful setting. We stayed in cabin 14 in the woodland area where squirrels and hedgehogs were daily visitors. We even met Professor the owl. Our hot tub was perfect and a great end to busy days. We used the BBQ area with disposable bbqs which again were fab. The log cabin is well equipped and comfortable. There was plenty of space for our family of five. There is plenty to do around the forest holidays site as well as on site. Puzzle wood, Kraft golf at Lydney, butterfly zoo are all great family days out. I would definitely consider returning here and would certainly recommend it.

We had an amazing, relaxing week-long break at Forest Holidays. We stayed in the Woodland area in a Bronze cabin. My Mum enjoyed relaxing in the cabin looking at the trees and wildlife. My son enjoyed running around in the woods and building shelters. We all enjoyed visiting the local attractions and going on some stunning walks in the Forest of Dean. The Bushcraft course with the Ranger was exceptional. We also visited Clearwell Caves, the Dean Railway, Symonds Yat, the Dean Heritage Centre, Coleford Sculpture Trail and the Newent Bird of Prey Centre. We intend to book again for next year.

We couldn't pick any faults with this fantastic holiday destination. The lodge was in a perfect location and unbelievably spotless. There really have thought of everything from robes for the hot tub to a specific area for the disposable bbq on the decking. We read some reviews before we went regarding taking your own toilet roles etc and found we didn't need to at all, in fact everything you can think of that you might need is provided. We had a fantastic stay and all the family left feeling relaxed and content about money well spent, thank you forest holidays.
