Fantastic Stay
We visited in December 2018 and surprised my dad for his 70th Birthday and we had a lovely time. The reception staff were incredibly helpful prior to our arrival and took into consideration that I was recovering from an operation and allocated a lodge suitable to my requirements. They were also happy to ask house keeping to place some balloons and banners in our lodge that I dropped off prior to checking in. They took my mobile number and sent me a txt to tell me when our lodge was ready as we were trying to keep the trip as a surprise for my parents. The additional help with these aspects were all very much appreciated! We stayed in a 3 bedroom lodge which was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our 2 night break. We all thought the facilities and the grounds were lovely. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. I really appreciated the additional help from two of the restaurant staff, both of whom provided excellent customer service in assisting my mum who is dairy free choose dishes to suit her taste and requirements. All in we had an excellent time and my parents decided to stay on for an extra couple of days and have continued to talk about how much they enjoyed themselves and my mum has said she would love to return for her 70th Birthday this year.

We went with friends and their daughter to celebrate a 50th. We were all really impressed with the standard of the lodge, really high quality and comfortable. Our meal that evening was in the hotel restaurant and this was a great meal and good atmosphere. The day after we had a spa treatment and swim. Small pool but clean and warm. Lots of walks locally and Auchterarder has a well stocked Co op if you would rather stay in
We had some cocktails in the whiskey bar and all in all a great weekend was held by all

Wonderful setting
We stayed one night while travelling around, stayed in one of the 2 bedroom lodges. Very well equipped, well presented and of a high standard. The grounds are very nice to wander around, our lodge was looking out onto the lawn in front of the main house .
The leisure facilities were very good, steam room, sauna, swimming pool and gym. Again well presented and clean & tidy.
We decided just to make dinner rather than go to the restaurant, but the menu looked very interesting and lots of choice.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay just across the fields from Gleneagles.

Happy Hogmanay Holiday
Visited Duchally for a mini break over New Year and rented a two bedroom lodge for 4 adults and a wee person. First comment was the staff - so professional, accommodating and friendly in every department. They are a credit and a great advertisement for the establishment.
Afternoon tea on day one was very good value for money and most enjoyable.
Lodge was very well equipped ( as most reviews confirm). Clean, spacious, plenty towels and bed linen, blankets. A travel cot was requested for the wee one.
Used the leisure center for swimming and again a high standard of care and attention .
We could not get bookings for the Hogmanay meal so went to the bar for drinks and celebrations instead and had a great time.
We had a buggy with us and found a spot as out the way as possible but bar staff were amazing. No fluster, no stress ( and they were busy with bar and restaurant). We had a really good evening and much of that was due to the attitude of the staff on the evening.
I recommend Duchally to anyone looking for a relaxing mini break in pleasant surroundings in a high quality establishment with great service and staff. Happy New Year to all at Duchally and keep up the good work. It does make a difference.

Love this place

This was my 3rd visit to a 3 bedroom lodge with a group of 6, and have stayed on 2 other occasions in the hotel with my husband.
I just love this place, it's so peaceful, relaxing and a great location for a group of friends to have a wee break together.
The lodges are clean, tidy and have all the facilities you would ever need.
we visited the leisure centre on the Saturday which was lovely, and Brenda came to our lodge on the Frid night for facials, while the rest of us had drinks. :-)
on Saturday night we booked in for dinner at Monteiths. It was amazing, food was top quality and everyone was raving about the sticky toffee pudding and the crumble! special mention to Danny our waiter, he was very friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted. (he was there last year too and still as enthusiastic)
we had drinks in the bar on the Sat afternoon after our swim and then after dinner, all staff are as nice as each other.
I will hopefully be back for our Xmas night out next year, or even sooner if I can help it

Seems to get better each time
I’ve been coming to Duchally for years and although it’s always been good, I really think it is getting better. This year my wife accompanied me for the second time, but in the past it has been mainly a golfing friend.
The lodge was the usual high standard -clean, well appointed, spacious and as someone who very frequently stays at hotels worldwide in my professional life, I can assure you it is at least 4-star.
We’ve been visited in the mornings by a variety of wonderful wildlife - with just a little coaxing through feeding on our patio - we’ve had a great variety of birds, ducks and on several occasions a couple of red squirrels - how special is that??
Staff are always great, but again this year seem even friendlier. The Argentinian guy in the whisky bar and the young lady from Moldova have been exceptional - really sorry I didn’t get their names.
We only dined here once this week and it was so good, we were sorry we hadn’t done so more often. Top class - thanks to all.
I am already planning my next trip back and will be booking almost as soon as I finish this review.

Excellent stay
We have just returned from a 2 night stay in a 3 bedroom lodge where we were celebrating my sisters 40th birthday. This was our first trip here and we couldn’t fault it. The lodge was lovely and spacious with everything we needed for our stay. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were. So much so we didn’t want to come home to our own beds. One of the bathrooms in the lodge was in need of updating but this was a minor point.

During our stay, we enjoyed an afternoon tea which was delicious and catered for gluten free with no issue. We also ate a meal in the main restaurant which we all really enjoyed. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed using the pool which was lovely and warm and each had a treatment from Jenna in the spa which we couldn’t fault. The only down side was how small the changing rooms were for the swimming pool which was extremely busy when we were trying to change.

The grounds of the estate were lovely and well kept and gave a feeling of peace be relaxation from the moment we drove in. My daughter loved seeing the ducks wandering about and looking out for the red squirrels. We will definitely be returning and I think it may become a regular place to visit for our family.

Great Staff.Just so helpful and friendly. Very good food which was just as good but much cheaper in price for similar items than Gleneagles Hotel just a couple of miles away. House bar was also great with a nice buzz.

Lovely Stay
This was our first visit to this CLC resort and we loved it just as much as Hustyns and Trenython. Firstly the location is just so quiet, peaceful and relaxing with free roaming ducks and wild Red Squirrels. The lodges are very clean and comfortable and have all amenities. Monteaths restaurant is a lovely place to eat and the food and service is outstanding. The Whisky bar is a very comfortable place to sit and chat with friends and family. We will visit again.

This was the first time we holidayed in Scotland and it is a really beautiful country. We stayed in one of the lodges and it was perfect for us (2 adults 4 kids). The lodge was very cosy, kitted out with all the necessary facilities and was situated near a large pond. The kids loved stopping to feed the ducks on the way to the leisure complex only a stone throw from our lodge. The whole resort is so well maintained and is very accessible to Sterling Glasgow and Edinburgh. Gleneagles train station is also only 1/4 mile from the resort where you can probably access any large city in GB! The staff of the resort were very polite and helpful, the food in the hotel was excellent as you would expect and the best latte I had while in Scotland was at the leisure complex in the Duchally resort!

We booked a 3 bedroom lodge at Duchally for 4 adults and 4 kids aged 9-12. The hotel is located just off the A9 with gleneagles 3 miles away and visible from the grounds.

The lodges are fantastic. The 3 bedroom lodge is very spacious with 3 excellent bedrooms and an open plan lounge kitchen. Our lodge was an upside down layout with the lounge and kitchen on the first floor and a great outside balcony with table and 8 chairs.

The lodge is very well furnished and the beds are comfy. There is a good sofa bed in the lounge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay helped by the amazing weather. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The kids all loved the pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The gym was perfectly fine for a hotel gym featuring technogym equipment.

You can’t have a bbq at your lodge but there is a separate area in the grounds with bbq facilities, tables and chairs.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We will definitely return.

Lovely spacious lodge, tranquil surroundings

We stayed for two nights in March in one of the Garden Lodges. I was immediately impressed by the beautiful grounds that the estate is set in. The lodges are nicely spaced apart and there is plenty of greenery and woodland for wildlife to inhabit, creating an additional attraction; there was a dovecot in the middle of the green located opposite the main building full of doves (obviously!), pheasants slowly roaming around quite domesticated, a duck pond where the ducks wandered to and fro from the lodges nearby in search of goodies from residents, red squirrels (which I was particularly delighted to see having seen none in a weeks stay at Center Parcs!) and many crows nesting in the tall trees. All of this added to the tranquility and peaceful vibe of the place. The grounds are well maintained and clean as was the accommodation. The lodge we stayed in was spacious and well designed with lots of light and an open plan livingroom/diningroom/kitchen. I took a lot of inspiration from the decor which featured lovely framed photography and abstract art. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms traditional and comfortable. We dined in the restaurant in the main building. Service was top notch, very professional and attentive and the food was of a very high standard. I had a glass of Shiraz which was delicious. The only thing I would comment on for improvement would be the games room which had a games machine which didn't work properly.

We also spent some time in the pool which although small, was clean. The baby pool wasn't any warmer than the main pool but the area was very clean and there is a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which were all lovely!

We'll definitely be back here and I would love to visit in the warmer months

Fantastic weekend
Stayed here 23.2.18 - 25.2.18. There were 8 of us staying in one of the 3 bedroom upside down lodges. The lodges were spotless. Linen, towels and toiletries are included. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite one with a bath, main bathroom has a shower which is really powerful. Comfortable beds, really good size bedrooms.
The hotel and grounds are beautiful lots of lovely wildlife around. Good walk close by. The nature trail is very short so if your looking for a decent walk head up to the main road.
The hotel staff were fabulous nothing was to much bother very accommodating. Drinks reasonable price not over the top like other hotels. We had some bar snacks which were great. You can order take away from the restaurant and there are other take away place that will deliver from further a field.
We honestly had the best weekend and will definitely be back. I dont understand why this hotel is not 5 star as it absolutely deserves it.

Somewhere to relax
At the end of February my wife and I took the grand children to the Duchally Estate. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our lodge I say lodge more like a three bedroom house where my wife and I decided we could happily retire to,the lounge and dinning were huge the was fully equipped kitchen with everything you need including a dishwasher. The three bedrooms all on suite were big enough to hold a party in.The welcome pack was unbelievable even down to the dishwasher tablets. Then of to the leisure centre the pool, plenty of space in the steam room and the jacuzzi.Afterwards have a coffee in the snack bar very pleasant. One evening we visited the bar( no children after 9 oclock ) but a very pleasant place to how a beer. Afterward we had dinner in the restaurant the staff once again were very helpful especially with the children’s needs and the food was good and plentiful. Its just a nice place for a three day relaxing break. There also plenty ramps for wheelchair users and a for disabled people to enter and leave the swimming pool. After our visit we can highly recommend the Duchally Estate.

Great experience. Was really able to relax and enjoy due to staying at CLC Duchally. All the staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and easy going at all times. I've traveled a lot and never had better staff at a hotel/resort. We stayed in a lodge and everything was clean, neat, and in top shape. Same could be said for the main building, restaurant, bar, and the leisure center. Restaurant food was really good and the bar was well stocked. The leisure center was clean and neat. The gym equipment was well maintained, modern, functioned perfectly and they had enough that I never noticed a wait. The cafe in the leisure center is pleasant as well. I didn't swim, though the indoor pool and hot tub looked fabulous. The grounds were well groomed and maintained and were pleasant to stroll around. Its quiet and out of the way though was an easy drive to many places which was really nice. I'd absolutely stay there again and highly recommend it.

A LOVELY RETREAT
Stayed in December in one of the lodges. It had everything you could want and very welcoming. We used the leisure centre a couple of times. A small gym, pool, sauna, steam room and cafe, very nice. Although we catered for ourselves we did use the hotel a couple of times for a bar meal which was very enjoyable. We found it a little quiet for our liking but that is purely personal taste and if you want absolute relaxation this is the place for you.

We visited 11th December for a short break, and we weren't disappointed. It felt very rural being 4/5 miles up a "B" road from Auchterarder, but a stunning holiday complex awaited us. The welcoming staff, the spotless reception area, lovely bar, polite bar staff. All this before actually seeing our lodge (704). Beautifully designed and again spotless - even the cutlery was arranged neatly, like soldiers on parade, in the appropriate drawer. Our immediate reaction was "why go out anywhere when it's so comfortable, warm and cosy in here?" Flat screen TV's in all rooms, DVD player, radios in the bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen with coffee and tea bags and milk for a quick cuppa before opening a nice bottle of wine ( not supplied ).
The leisure centre was a two minute walk away, nice, warm pool, well equipped gym, steam room and sauna at poolside as well as a relaxing jacuzzi. Pure pleasure.
The double room was en suite, and the double bed was just perfect for a good night's sleep.
It's always fun finding out how to work a different hob/oven/dishwasher etc, if you're self catering, but the heating 's straight forward enough. The lay-out seems strange, but makes perfect sense having the bedrooms on the ground floor and the lounge and dining area upstairs, and the outdoor patio accessed from the upstairs lounge offers lovely views and must be a perfect viewing platform for birdwatchers in good weather!

This place is so beautiful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom lodge. There was 4 adults and a 4 year old. The house was just amazing. It's really in the country side but not a Long drive from Sterling or Edinburgh. Also very close to Perth. Staff were so lovely. Couldn't fault any of them. The only thing was the weather. It lashed for the last two days of our holidays so we didn't get to use the playground or walk around the grounds. My husband and daughter and my dad loved the pool, my mom and myself sat in the cafe and had our coffees while watching them. Couldn't fault this place

Stayed here fir 5 days in a 2 bedroom cottage. The cottages are modern, warm and clean. There is a fully fitted kitchen inc dishwasher and washing machine, fridge freezer and all other mod cons. We stayed with my sister who is a member of Costa club. There is adequate parking and a spa on site which is free if you are staying on site, there is a pool, spa, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Also you can use the shower rooms, and the leisure center supply bath towels. My only criticism was the shampoo, shower gel containers in shower rooms were empty on the 3 times we visited.
We went to the hotel bar, and my sister and partner did a whiskey taster of which they enjoyed. We all also had a meal in the hotel restaurant and it was really nice.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and well maintained.

The estate is ideal for a base to visit Scotland.

Quiet and relaxing, but still plenty to do, forest walks, squirrel trails etc. Fabulous fitness centre with excellent swimming pool a few minutes walk away from our house. There is also a hotel in the estate, but we have never stayed there. Family of six, including two young children. I hired a lodge for my family last summer. At almost 70 years of age, this proved to be one of my most rewarding and enjoyable holidays. The lay out and design of the lodge was ideal for my family which is made up of 3 separate units. The location is brilliant and very handy for excursions. The restaurant on site is top drawer and the staff were of the highest calibre. The food was outstanding value. I’ve booked again this year for a special birthday!

Great Retreat

I recently stayed in this resort for 3 nights, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at how tranquil this resort was. Although the resort is around 1 hour from Edinburgh Airport / town – it is located in the middle of the country side with amazing views and animals. Each morning I could see rabbits around the grounds / chickens and birds and on the odd occasion a red squirrel! The cottages themselves were to a high standard and offered space and comfort.

The hotel bar offered a wide variety of both whisky and gin and the staff were knowledgeable about the spirits. The restaurant in the hotel was great – with tasty food and a good set menu option which was reasonably priced, and friendly staff.

The leisure facilities offered a Spa / pool and gym – which was a nice way to start or end the day. The Spa consisted of a steam room / hot tub / sauna and pool. The leisure centre also offered bike riding – to which you could hire biked out for an hour or all day. This was great fun for all of the family – as it allowed us to do something that we would not usually do at home.

Overall this is a great place to stay and I would recommend this place in high regards

This resort is tucked away in the beautiful countryside surrounding Gleneagles. We spent a week in one of the lodges that accompany the hotel. The lodges sleep up to 8, with bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs and the kitchen and living space upstairs. There was a good sized balcony which caught the sun all day and into the evening (though some balconies face east and miss the evening sun and sunset).

The hotel restaurant boasts excellent food at reasonable prices and very friendly and accommodating staff. There's a large outdoor dining area and lawn for kids to play on. There's also a leisure centre with a swimming pool, gym, and café, as well as an outdoor play park for the kids.

Everything was excellent! Accommodation, location, staff, facilities.
I liked everything! Fridge/freezer could've been colder but maybe it was too full! Anyway staff were good enough to give us a bucket of ice!

Ideal location for a leisurely break
Lodge was excellent. Clean and well supplied. Nice touch of juice, eggs and milk in fridge. Great location for travelling around Perthshire. Would definitely recommend.

Super family accommodation in a very accessible location
The lodges were well equipped, spacious and enjoyed by the whole family who are keen to return.

This stay was part of my 70th birthday celebrations, & did not disappoint. Been 6 times now!!
The lodge was roomy & comfortable, first time we've stayed in one which had the lounge upstairs & bedrooms downstairs. Definitely made most of the beautiful view!
