The Crewe and Harpur Arms served as a village Coaching Inn, and was built in 1864. History runs through this traditional building situated in the centre of Longnor and enjoying fabulous views across the countryside of the Peak District National Park. Designed with large group stays in mind, the Crewe & Harpur offers guests exclusive use of their own private hotel and pub. There are many original features to enhance the authenticity of the The Crewe and Harpur, and the main building offers eight brand new boutique bedrooms all with en-suite and fully equipped kitchens. Across the central courtyard there are three classic Derbyshire cottages (1 x three bedroom and 2 x two bedroom properties) all with luxury bathrooms and kitchens.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Longnor area?

• The Manifold Trail is close to the property and offers a short walk or cycle route which is ideal for all ages
• Buxton Spa Town is only a 15 minute drive away - here you have the fabulous Buxton Opera House, the recently restored Crescent building is a beautiful building in the centre of town.  Buxton offers plenty of small boutique shops alongside the well known names and a good choice of places to eat and drink.  There is a public swimming pool to enjoy too.
• Located in Longor you are surrounded by fabulous countryside, so walking and exploring is a must. The Roaches is a popular area for walkers and rock climbers and even has the infamous "winking man" rock

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

• The Merchants House in Longnor is just across from the property and here you can enjoy lunches and evening meals, or just wander across for a drink.
• Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese in the village is a dog and family friendly pub, offering you good traditional pub food. A 16th Century Inn it still features some of the old features.
• The Royal Oak at Hurdlow is only a short drive away, well known for its excellent menus choices and friendly staff this is a must to try if out walking or you fancy an evening meal cooked for you.
• The Packhorse in Crowdecote is just outside the village, you can enjoy home made food here and sample the ever changing local ales.

Other Information

Dogs are welcome at the venue and are charged at £20 per dog.  You are able to pre order 2 x kegs of ale to be pulled through the working pumps in the bar area that are ready for your arrival through the local brewery who come in and set it all up for you.  Offering you a true pub experience.
