Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Ansty area?
The village of Ansty is only a 3-minute drive away, where you can stock up on supplies at the Brewery Farm Shop, which sells meat, fruits & vegetables, newspapers, and other necessities. On weekday mornings, a post office is also open. The coast is approximately 35 minutes away by car. Ringstead Bay, a pebble beach popular with families and walkers, is a good choice. In the car park there is a cafe that serves outstanding locally caught fish and chips. Visit Weymouth Bay or Studland Bay in the Purbecks, which has a magnificent sandy beach and a car ferry to Sandbanks, if you're looking for a sandy beach. For walkers, there are numerous opportunities and routes, with the Wessex Ridgeway literally on your doorstep.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
In the village of Ansty, you can purchase supplies for your stay at the Brewery Farm Shop, selling meat, fruit and vegetables, newspapers etc. Opposite the farm shop is the welcoming village pub, The Fox Inn, serving excellent food. Other good local pubs include The Hambro Arms in the beautiful village of Milton Abbas, 15 minutes' drive away; The Brace of Pheasants at Plush, approx 20 minutes' drive away; and The River Arms at Cheselbourne, 10 minutes' drive away.
