The property is located at the end of a private no-through road, making it very peaceful and secluded, but it is also only a short distance from the beach, the Meare, and other Thorpeness attractions, as well as a stroll along the beach to Aldeburgh. Sleeping 13 guests, Alexander House is a superb property for a family gathering. Upstairs the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a rainfall shower over the bath. There are a further two bedrooms with a king-size bed and a double bed, a twin room and a further room with three single beds and an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom has a separate rainfall shower and a bath. The house has the added attraction of a downstairs bedroom with a bathroom which is ideal for less mobile guests.

Alexander House features views out onto the golf course, which is open to visitors, while the Country Club offers weekly tennis membership if you wish to play. If you can drag yourself away from the beach, there are plenty of other things to do in the area. Further up the coast, the RSPB Wildlife Reserve at Minsmere is worth a visit. There are numerous pathways to explore in the coastal area, which is located inside an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Alternatively, travel beyond Aldeburgh to Orford and learn about the history of Orford Ness, as well as the woodlands of Tunstall and Rendlesham.
