Ipstones

The County of Ipstones is Staffordshire. It is part of Staffordshire Moorlands District, within the civil parish are the hamlets FoxT, Consall Forge and Bottomhouse. Ipstones Edge, north of the village, 1250ft up and gives a good view for many miles around. Ipstones, like a village, No. 39, is not mentioned in the Domesday Book and dates from around the 12th century. The majority of houses and farms, but the modern development are in local sandstone. Two sections of the village are designated cike ConZones conservation of several structures enumerated therein contained.
