Gorebridge

Gorebridge village lies south east of Edinburgh and north of the Moorfoot Hills and dates back to the 18th century. Originally associated with coal mining, limeworks and the manufacture of gunpowder. A popular tourist resort due to its spectacular views and the Arniston Glen. Nearby are the Newbyres Castle remains and an ancient hillfort on Camp Wood Hill.
