LOW HEATH, Petworth, West Sussex, GU28 0HG
A 300-year-old country pub with rooms set within the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park. At The Welldiggers Arms you can savour exquisite cuisine in the airy dining room and sip a pint of local ale in the cosy bar.
Watch the chefs hard at work in the open kitchen while you dine on a menu of seasonal British classics, or admire the view afforded by the large picture windows overlooking a beautiful coppice and the South Downs. Much of the produce used is sourced from their bounteous surroundings; from the seasonal game and fish to the fresh vegetables and herbs.
Recently re-opened after a large-scale refurbishment, the pub is a harmonious blend of rustic country architecture and modern fixtures and fittings.
The pub also features 14 sumptuous en-suite bedrooms which all enjoy picturesque vistas of the countryside. There are six rooms in the main building of the pub and eight in the annexe.
We are proud to be part of The Epicurean Collection, a group of boutique countryside inns dedicated to the finest in British food, comfort and culture — all set in some of England's most idyllic locations. To join our online club or to book the perfect escape, please visit Epicurean.club
