Opened by one of Edinburgh's top chefs Martin Wishart and named after Sir Walter Scott's discovery of the Scottish crown jewels (AKA the Honours of Scotland), this is the more casual sister brasserie to Wishart's eponymous flagship fine dining restaurant in nearby Leith. Even so, the smart interior of oversized mirrors, black and white tiling, shades of brown and beige wood veneers and dark brown leather chairs is well worth dressing up for, as is the luxurious French food.

Located only a short walk from George Street bars and shops and a few minutes from the city's world-famous Princes Road, in Edinburgh's New Town.

The best of Scottish local ingredients can be enjoyed on the menu, using traditional and modern French cuisine. Meat lovers might start with with a selection of charcuterie or plate of pork and duck rillettes and follow with a selection from the grill while foodies will delight in a frothy crab 'cappuccino' soup and sweetbreads roasted in buckwheat and bay.
