Where is The Coach & Horses located?
A country pub with a pretty garden surrounded by unspoilt Sussex countryside - in a beautiful spot just on the edge of The Ashdown Forest with the gardens boasting stunning views of the Sussex Downs. The pub is within easy reach of the towns East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 20 minutes from Gatwick Airport.
What cuisine is on offer at The Coach & Horses?
As many ingredients as possible are sourced locally with roasted breast of Horsted Keynes pheasant on pearl barley and smoky bacon risotto appearing among the main course choices. Pub classics such as local pork and herb sausages with mashed potato and bittersweet red onion jam are also done well. However, there are nods towards the Mediterranean with starters such as salt and pepper squid on smoky Basque stew on offer as well. Another draw for this pub is its popular bar which offers a good selection of wines and features a guest ale which changes every week.
What makes a meal at The Coach & Horses unique?
The Coach & Horses food is made to order using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients, where possible to ensure that quality is guaranteed. The menus are changed regularly including the specials board, aside from a Sunday when they run a bigger, more traditional menu.
