Overview

Set in 1000 acres of William Robinson-designed gardens, this Elizabethan manor has been offering diners the classic English country house experience for over 50 years. From unhurried classical dining in the atmospheric Michelin-starred restaurant to leisurely lunches in the garden, from traditional Afternoon Teas to the very reasonable Daily Menu – Gravetye promises to delight and enchant with their food regardless of the occasion. The hotel is incredibly fortunate to have a one acre walled kitchen garden, which during the summer months provides 95% of all fruit and vegetables used in the kitchen, assuring you of the very freshest ingredients. Head Chef, George Blogg cooks in a modern British style with seasonality and fresh produce at the heart of his cooking. Examples include, a starter of hand dived Orkney scallops, heritage carrots, cardamom yoghurt and carrot cake, main dishes of Port braised cheek of Longhorn beef and dessert such as forced rhubarb soufflé.
