Field & Fork

To say I have found one of Chichester's hidden secrets sounds a bit cheesy but I can't believe I've lived here for over 7 years and never been. So many times my wife and I have scratched ours heads, looking for somewhere nice to eat ... So I finally booked at table at the F&F for our 16th wedding anniversary. It was amazing! The food, the ambiance, the service - everything was exceptional! They even gave us a complimentary anniversary dessert. We were blown away and we're definitely coming back!! It's not cheap but I would say it is very good value for money the menu was quite small but apparently it changes regularly and every dish is special... and beautifully presented. Definitely have the belly pork starter, slow cooked beef, the scallops... it's all brilliant.

Great choice , I love the fact you can go for the fixed set menu, very tasty and great value or the optional menu with a choice of three choices at a fixed price or the à la carte. I've been quite a few times and the options are always new, tasty and interesting. Two friends who had been washed out of the Revival opted to pop into Chichester for lunch instead and dragged me along, so I suggested the Field and Fork. I know they enjoyed it. Not only is the food great but the noise levels are great, no noisy background music so you can hear yourself speak. Great place to chat and lunch, not tried dinner yet!

Went for a pre theatre meal which is very much the business here as close to the festival theatre. The menu was varied with interesting ingredients with every dish. The homemade bread was a good start followed by a deliciously presented Tuna dish. We also had a really simple homemade spaghetti dish with mint, tomato, courgette and capers which was really tasty. The service was really friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back.

I regularly visit Chichester and only recently found this restaurant, the food was all excellent and really nice service. There wasn't anything we could have complained about and only wished it was more busy! We have also been to Amelie and Friends and a few other recommended places in the area but this is by far the best and we will be definitely be returning on our next visit!

Jack and I would like to thank you and your staff for providing a very enjoyable evening for us and our friends to celebrate Jack's 80th birthday. We had a really nice meal - the dishes contained some quirky ingredients but the finished dishes were great - very innovative! Lovely relaxed surroundings, a real fire, friendly staff - and no problem getting us out in good time for the theatre.
