With a history that dates back to 1336, The Pilchard Inn is one of the oldest pubs in the country. The inn’s patrons were once the local fishermen, as well as the smugglers and shipwreckers who enticed ships to their fate on the rocks locally. Nowadays, customers are from the Burgh Island hotel and the surrounding villages.
