Overview

The Vineyard, one of the UK's best known places for those who love fine dining. Their restaurant is a 3 AA rosette awarded restaurant, with everything you expect from a 5 Star Hotel, but without the stiffness. The beautiful dining space is complimented by it's signature Art Nouveau-style wrought iron vine balustrade and well spaced tables.

Where is The Vineyard located?

Just outside of Newbury and an hour from London, this high-end, wine-themed hotel is just 8.2 miles from Highclere Castle, home of TV's Downton Abbey.

What cuisine is on offer at The Vineyard?

There's a five or seven course tasting menu available or you can create your own menu from a selection of classic dishes such as Cornish lobster, watermelon, black curry, basil shoots, Pan-fried cod, cauliflower, spiced coconut cream and Coconut éclair, praline, mango and passion fruit. Food and wine pairing is one of The Vineyard's specialties. With a talented brigade of chefs and a 30,000 bottle wine cellar, you're sure to find a perfect pairing.

What makes a meal at The Vineyard unique?

Tom Scade 's cuisine is elegant and clean, each platter is a work of art, prepared with engineering accuracy. His philosophy focuses on the use of the finest ingredients that are locally sourced, however he is not afraid to travel further afield  if higher quality ingredients are available elsewhere.
