Overview

The Old Rectory, Norwich's only AA 4* GOLD 2 Rosette 'Restaurant with Rooms' is a Grade II listed Georgian country house. Standing in an acre of mature secluded gardens in a leafy conservation area and overlooking the River Yare valley on the eastern outskirts of Norwich. The eight beautifully appointed bedrooms are individually styled and furnished to a high standard some with original fireplaces or beams. Dining is always a memorable experience with the award-winning cuisine served in elegant surroundings. For a unique venue for your business meeting, seminar or training presentation look no further than The Wellingtonia Room, with its large windows looking out onto the pool terrace and gardens.

Reviews

The Old Rectory is a 'must stay' if you are in the area and require first class, intimate service and an unobtrusive detailed concern for the quality of your stay. It is a very private place considering its nearness to Norwich and we were fortunate during our visit that the other guests blended in. The food was excellent and just right with nothing being too much trouble concerning personal taste.I was fortunate also that there was a fine selection of local beers. Everything about the hotel was to a very high standard.

Perfectly managed, friendly hospitable, attentive with personal interest without being overbearing. Food and accommodation excellent, great attention to detail, menus well thought out, inventive and flavoursome. Good selection of wines, excellent service, Ideal location on edge of Broads National Park and convenient for Norwich. Very relaxing, nice garden and lounge. Would visit again.
