The Baiting House At Upper Sapey

Since re-opening after a complete refurbishment in 2016, locals and visitors alike have been beating a path to the Baiting House. They come for the beautiful country setting, the great wine list and the amazing locally-sourced food prepared by head chef Charles Bradley, an alumnus of the Michelin-starred Mr Underhills in Ludlow. The rooms are nicely refurbished in a spare modern country style offering travellers essentials like power showers, Egyptian cotton bedding and luxury toiletries but without being over-fussy. The Baiting House is more than just another country inn with nice food and rooms - it's still the hub of its community and has a lively bar scene as well as the more formal dining areas. The sunny terrace in particular, with its outside kitchen boasting a wood-fired pizza oven, attracts a lot of visitors on a sunny summer' afternoon.
