The kent seaside town of Broadstairs was a popular holiday haunt of Charles Dickens and each year in the town a Dickins festival is held to celebrate this. There is a glorious sandy beach in the Viking Bay, plus cliff top walks, a cycle trail and a popular area for sailing.
