The Muckleburgh Military Collection has over 150 working tanks, guns and vehicles in addition to thousands of smaller military exhibits. It tells the story of invasion and coastal defence from Roman to modern times.

The Muckleburgh Military Collection is on the A149 Coast Road between Blakeney and Sheringham. It is 3/4 hour from Norwich and 1 hour from Yarmouth. There is plenty of Free Parking and Kennels for keeping dogs safely.

What is the history of The Muckleburgh Military Collection to the present day?

The Muckleburgh Military Collection was established in 1988 and is now one of the country's largest private collection of working tanks, guns and vehicles. Its site was a former Royal Artillery Training Camp with Anti-Aircraft guns some of which can still be seen. There is an airfield, pill boxes and an operational RAF radar receiving station in addition to a university atmospheric observatory.

What is there to see and do at The Muckleburgh Military Collection?

Muckleburgh offers parents and children lots to see and do. During school holidays there are tank demonstrations and military lorry rides to visit the Old Artillery Camp. A play area for the very young, a café for snacks and lunches together with picnic site are amongst the facilities. A shop with a wide range of toys and gifts have a military theme.

The North Norfolk Coast is an area of natural beauty offering coastal path walks, wildlife parks, beaches and historic towns. There are many Visitor Attractions ranging from Steam Railways to Zoos. Holiday campsites and cottages for accommodation are supported by a wide range of catering facilities typical of a seaside area.

Opening Times: Open now until 19th Feb for school half term. Open from the 25th March to 29th October every day 10:00 - 17:00.
Admission: dult £11.00, Child £7.00, Child (under 4) Free, Carers also free ONLY with Local Authority or CRESS Carers Card.
