What is the history of Brighton Museum & Art Gallery to the present day?

The gallery was opened on 5 November 1861 by Richard Owen, the author of the Natural History Museum. Its first shows comprised of characteristic history examples, the town's craft assortment, and different things gathered from around the globe by neighborhood inhabitants. The early exhibition hall soon exceeded the Pavilion and the town specialists made yearning arrangements to make a bigger and progressively proficient historical center. 

In 1873 Brighton Museum moved to its current site, alongside the town's open library.
