What is there to see and do at Beatrix Potter Gallery?

At the Beatrix Potter Gallery near Ambleside where you can enjoy an exhibition of her original drawings and watercolours. The gallery also offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about Ms Potter's life outside writing – her passion for farming and conservation are showcased alongside her legacy and how it made the place known to us the Lake District to be today. The building itself has a fascinating past too – it was the office of Ms Potter's husband William Heelis, a solicitor, and it is a rare chance to see inside one of Hawkshead's old buildings.
