FIVE WATER THERAPY SPAS

I'll come clean: spas which have plenty of water features are my favourite kind; swan pipes, experience showers, those amazing under-water loungers with billions of bubbles zipping away underneath - give me a couple of hours playing around with those and you'll see a very happy woman. Water and spa-ing is a tradition as old as time. Ancient civilisations from the Egyptians to the Romans used bathing for relaxation and healing and it's a tradition that you can enjoy too. Here are ten spas where you can discover the therapeutic benefits of water. Don't forget your swimsuit!
Hoar Cross Hall Spa Resort

Get a taste for the finer things in life with a visit to the UK's only spa in a stately home where you'll discover a dedicated water therapy zone packed with revitalising and relaxing aqua therapies. Try the stimulating Kneipp pools and soothing shoulder massage jets or the saltwater vitality pool complete with volcano, jet massage pools, a star-lit cave and luxe whirlpool baths.

SenSpa at Careys Manor Hotel

Tucked away in the New Forest is one of the UK's gems - an award-winning Thai spa with superb facilities. Dive into the 14m ozone pool overlooking a Zen garden before spending time exploring the hydrotherapy area. Massage every inch of your body with strategically-placed jets, lie back on bubble-loungers, feel the sensation of showering in a tropical forest with sound, scents and water jets.

Elan Spa at The Mount Somerset Hotel & Spa
