Best Burns Night Parties & Where to Stay

Just recovered from the Christmas festivities? Having a dry January? Well, you'll have to stop all that nonsense because its Burns Night! Pack some alka seltzer, throw some thermals in a case and make a weekend of it at any of the hundreds of special events around Britain this January to celebrate Robert Burns' poetry. Here are our top ten favourites for sampling a wee dram...

Showing below are all 2 records in "Best Burns Night Parties & Where to Stay"

Craster Tower Apartment, Craster, Alnwick, Northumberland

Burns Night Supper at the Craster Arms Hotel, Chathill, Northumberland, January 28, 7pm to midnight (min age 18)

There’s something magical about Northumberland’s coastal villages in the winter and the village of Chathill is no different. As the North Sea rages through the icy January weeks, locals know how to get through the long nights with a spot of pub going and The Craster’s traditional Burns Supper provides cosy solace on a miserably cold night. Think blazing fireplaces and free flowing Famous Grouse. Andy Grant provides the address of the haggis with music from the Nortumberland Scottish Pipes and Drums.

Stay Here:
The Craster Apartments, Craster.
Owned by the Craster family for 900 years, these palatial rooms set over two floors, although just part of the castle, have oodles of space. Watch out for the ghost though!

Berwick Lodge (Hotel)

Berwick Drive, Bristol

Berwick Lodge, Berwick Drive, Bristol

Burns Night Dinner at the Clifton Club, Bristol, January 27, 7pm, black tie with a Scottish twist

Get into the gentlemen’s club vibe this Burns Night with a terribly sophisticated black tie dinner celebrating Scotland’s most famous son. Now a time honoured favourite at the club, Burns Night formal celebrations include a four course menu with wine, coffee and whiskey, recitations of the poet’s work and plenty of whiskey selections to sample.

Stay Here:
Berwick Lodge Hotel, Berwick Drive, Bristol.
Set in 18 acres of gorgeous grounds, treat yourself to a night at the luxurious country house Berwick Lodge so that you can walk off that whiskey head the morning after!
