Stephen's love affair with golf journalism started when he was writing about property for the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle some years ago and at the same time travelling around Europe looking at new-build property, much of which was built alongside courses. Chris Bertram, then editor of National Club Golfer said that he spent so much time looking at golf courses that it was about time he started writing about them too. So he did. Since then he has written regularly for NCG about golf travel and also began work on Kingdom the golf and lifestyle quarterly magazine for Arnold Palmer resort courses, as well as being sold in Barnes & Noble in the USA. With Kingdom celebrating its tenth birthday, publisher TMCUSA started a guide to the 'majors' last year and he also write for that. Being freelance he has also done the odd bit for Golf World and also pieces for the now defunct Golf Punk.
