Originally built around 1720, the Riverside House Hotel provides a friendly, informal and relaxed atmosphere within elegant, spacious and tastefully decorated surroundings.
A shame the lift was out of order for 50% of our short stay as we were on the top floor! Staff did help us with our luggage on arrival but the stairs were very steep for us pensioners to cope with. Mainly pleasant and helpful staff although breakfast service was disappointing. Nice riverside setting with pleasant gardens but surprised there was no safety gate or signage near the river, especially as it was covered in green weed which looked just like grass. GillD
