Overview

Park House is a quintessentially English, family-owned, luxury country house hotel, with 21 bedrooms, an intimate spa and superb leisure facilities. It has a very relaxing home-from-home atmosphere and sits within ten glorious acres of gardens and grounds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the South Downs National Park.

What makes a stay at Park House, Hotel & Spa unique?

The hotel is renowned for its gloriously peaceful and rural location and the stunning views of the South Downs and countryside in every direction. Its staff are wonderfully welcoming and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The outdoor leisure facilities, which include golf, lawn tennis, croquet, bowls and putting, are extensive for a hotel of this size and are all in a superb condition. During the summer months, the outdoor heated swimming pool with surrounding sun terraces, loungers, chairs and tables for alfresco meals and bar, are much enjoyed by guests. Some pampering treatments in the spa will round off your relaxing stay.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Park House, Hotel & Spa?

Park House has 21ensuite bedrooms, 12 in the main hotel building and 9 in three adjacent cottages - South Down, Baytree and Polo Cottage. Every bedroom has been individually designed and decorated in a luxurious English country house style and most have stunning views of the gardens and countryside from the windows. There are two suites and three family rooms, five ground floor bedrooms with private access to the gardens and one bedroom fully equipped for wheelchair access. Baby monitors, cots and high chairs can be provided for children and well-behaved dogs can stay in two ground floor bedrooms.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Midhurst area?

Park House is a five minute drive from the historic market town of Midhurst, ten minutes from top class international polo at Cowdray Park Polo Club and only twenty minutes from the South Coast and beaches. The Goodwood Estate, with its top-class motor sport and horse racing events, is also close by and there are National Trust houses at Petworth and Uppark. Guests who enjoy walking can explore the South Downs Way and there are English sparkling wine vineyards open for guests to visit. For more ideas and suggestions, the hotel Reception Team will be delighted to help.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Guests at Park House can enjoy a leisurely full English or continental breakfast, a seasonal 2 or 3-course lunch and dinner in the Dining Room or Conservatory and a traditional English Afternoon Tea in the Drawing Room or outside on the terraces in the summer. There is also an all-day menu and Executive Chef, Callum Keir, focuses on fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. If guests want to venture out locally, the hotel Reception Team will be able to advise them.

Reviews

A warm and friendly reception. Only 1.5 hours from London. Staff went out of their way to suggest walks and restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious, rooms comfortable. The spa is excellent and largely empty during our stay! Very special.
