Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort

My husband and I got married here in July 2012. The wedding was the best day of our lives and I have no doubt that the staff at Mar Hall were such a big factor of this. Jenny, our wedding co-ordinator was wonderful and helped us every step of the way. We had a very large number of guests who stayed in the hotel and spoke very highly of the hotel and their staff. A few of us stayed two nights in the hotel and dined in their new Italian restaurant which was wonderful! This hotel definitely deserves its 5 Star rating and Dean, the Hotel Manager continues this 5 Star service by ensuring a personalised stay for all the hotel guests. Nothing was ever a problem! I felt like a princess on my wedding day and stay at this hotel and I would recommend a stay at Mar Hall to anyone!

We have stayed at Mar Hall several times and got engaged on our visit last year. I would recommend it to anyone. The grounds are stunning and the grandeur of the hotel is lovely giving such a welcoming feel, all the rooms we have stayed in have been great and all individually decorated. The facilities are spotless and relaxing and we have spent time in the spa which is worth trying out for a relaxing break. The food in both the main restaurant and Italian il Posto are lovely with excellent service. We like the hotel so much we are now getting married July 2014 in the burgundy suite, with our evening in the marquee, can't wait, so exciting, our photos in their grounds over looking the old Kilpatrick hills and golf course with be fab :)

Have recently stayed here for an overnight stay in mid January. We stayed in a deluxe room on dinner, bed and breakfast, which did not disappoint!! During our stay we used the spa facilities which were exceptional and with wonderful and very helpful staff, we had a very relaxing and comfortable visit. I have to strongly recommend you make it to breakfast as it the best I have experienced in any hotel stay! I have since returned for afternoon tea to share the experience with my family members. Weather it's to just dine or to be pampered in the spa, or enjoy an overnight of relaxation in great surroundings, it's worth a trip!

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds. Made to feel both welcomed and important. Every need catered for and went above and beyond. Dinner was set in beautiful room and was 'perfect'. Wasn't big portions but I was still full. Full of flavours. Breakfast was decent traditional English breakfast but choice of other breakfasts was available. Pool was nice but the water a wee but on cold side. Jacuzzi wasn't up to much but sauna and steam rooms were lovely. Room was large, spacious and well designed. Beautiful views over the course and waters and lots of wildlife to see on walks. Will go again.

Just returned from the most fantastic luxurious overnight at this charismatic, lavish hotel. Couldn't recommend it highly enough, all of the other guests we spoke to agreed. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were top class and could not be faulted. Our room was stunning, the ultimate in luxury, with outstanding views over the kilpatrick hills and river Clyde. The spa, treatment rooms and swimming pool added to peaceful and relaxing experience and overall feel of the hotel. I can't wait till next time!

Beautiful location, luxury throughout! wonderful spa with swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms and gymnasium. Food was to die for with the best breakfast we've had in any hotel! will definitely return, perhaps in the summer so as to take advantage of the brilliant looking golf course. another bonus is this hotel is only about 10 minutes drive from Braehead shopping centre and also Glasgow airport.

I always go out of my way to recommend a hotel when I've had a superb experience, because I value reviews so much. At Mar Hall, I really had nothing to complain about at all. The staff were attentive without being pushy, the food was delicious, the facilities were great and the rooms beautiful, clean and elegant. I would love to go back again, thanks so much for such a lovely time.

We are getting married here in 6 weeks..& also we got engaged here 18 months ago. Staff are friendly, food excellent and location is just perfect. We stayed in a four poster suite when we last visited and the room was fab. So excited to see the honeymoon suite when we stay here next. Would recommend to all.

I would like to recommended il posto restaurant at mar hall. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant set in the grounds of the luxury mar hall. The service was excellent and food delicious and considering it is a 5 star venue the prices were reasonable.
