Maison Talbooth's rooms are all ensuite with complimentary minibars, Sky HD in-room and free WiFi. Many rooms have fabulous views over the Vale and three of the rooms offer private terraces. Each unique room is dividual in design and structure and is named after famous British poets such as Betjemen, Keats and Shakespeare.
Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Colchester area?
The whole area of Dedham village is the childhood home of John Constable, here guests will find Castle House, home to the painter Sir Alfred Munnings. Colchester is only a short way away and offers a Castle, museums and cobbled streets. Also, the local towns and villages offer great scope for discovering and shopping. Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk is 15 minutes north and offers a wonderful waterfront community, restaurants, bars and shopping. The Suffolk Heritage Coast is an easy drive with towns such as Southwold, Aldeburgh and Woodbridge within easy reach. The hotel can also arrange picnics, bike and canoe hire for guests to explore at a more leisurely pace.
