Knockderry House was built in 1846 for a wealthy family as a summer home. It was further embellished in 1900 by William Leiper and turned into a hotel in the 1960's. The current owners took over in 2001 and have developed this small country hotel adding rooms and an award-winning restaurant. The hotel is situated on the banks of Loch Long - a very peaceful and picturesque corner of Argyll and Bute - yet only 45 mins drive from Glasgow Airport and 30 mins from Loch Lomond and the National Park.
The hotel is perfectly situated for a touring holiday of Scotland as a first or last nights stay and has knowledgable and friendly staff to assist you to make the most of your visit.
