Just back from one night at this lovely B & B. Very quiet little town. Accommodation was lovely. Staff very unfriendly though, seemed like everything was an effort for them but apart from that we all enjoyed our stay

We stayed at the Hurtwood Hotel last night and found it an excellent experience. The welcome was friendly and I was shown to our room which was warm, clean and well appointed. The bedding was wonderfully crisp and clean. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Dinner was good and breakfast perfect - yogurt and fruit followed by full English, cooked to perfection, with delicious coffee.

The only downside was the bath - the fixed shower head was directly above my head and dripped cold water a few times. Also the bathroom light is on a timer (great if you have to get up in the middle of the night) but when laying in the bath I had to keep sitting up to switch it back on.

Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel and will certainly return.

If you want to have a super weekend in Surrey book a room at the Hurtwood Hotel. It is so fabulous. Brilliant location for walking. Glorious views from your room. The rooms are luxurious and every need has been considered and catered for. There is even ice in the fridge in the guest kitchenette. The bathroom was huge and plenty of hot water. The bed was enormous and so very comfortable. It is very peaceful in the village so sleeping is easy. Some of the rooms allow dogs which was brilliant for us. Private parking in the car park. We were so pleased to have found this hotel. We will return and stay for longer. Thank you Hurtwood Hotel.

This hotel is set within an Area of Outstanding Beauty - part of the Surrey Hills and it lives up name itself . The hotel is unusual as it was clearly once part of the larger and grander main building but now just occupies the rooms at the back. We had a wonderful welcome and we're taken up to our modern and very well appointed room - beautiful design touches, a very comfy bed and super bathroom. A fabulous selection of teas and a real coffee machine, took this room up to another level. What made the hotel perfect for us was that there was a possibility to bring our dog up to the room - a clear dog policy explained the rules and outside, part of the garden was especially laid out for dog walks. The hotel is perfectly situated about 20 minutes from guildford but it felt right in the middle of the countryside. We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely go back if we were in the area.

Wonderful location in the surrey countryside. Room was spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent quality and exceptionally tasty. Lovely to find such a place that is also dog friendly. Will definitely return and would have no hesitation in recommending

Visited here in May 2017 with family for a wedding. From the off, the staff were very helpful and did their utmost to make us feel welcome.
The hotel itself it attached to the village pub which serves local beer and Italian inspired food.
The village is secluded, but well worth the windy roads to get there.
The hotel is well equipped and modern, WiFi also available. The rooms were a good size with ample coffee making facilities and fresh milk.
The breakfast was spot on, both continental and English with juices, yoghurt fruit and pastries.
We had views over the fields to the rear. 6ft comfy beds too! Had a decent sleep!!
Would recommend and would return!! Thank you.

We have stayed here twice now and in different rooms. The beds are very comfy, the breakfast is wonderful, the service genuine and friendly. perfect location and very popular at weekends especially, so book ahead. Caroline and all the staff work hard to make this a 5 star property to visit and enjoy. Lots of thoughtful extras which we really appreciated.

We stayed here for a wedding held at the next door restaurant (also excellent) and were very impressed with the accommodation here. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom immaculate and the breakfast delicious. What more could we want?

Hurtwood Hotel is amazing, right in the middle of the Surrey countryside its perfect for a break away. Stayed here as had a wedding reception to go to near by and wouldn't of wished for a better stay. Room was spacey with everything we needed, tea, coffee, tv and had a kitchen area outside. There is an adjoining pub which serves great food, wish we had more of a chance to explore the area so will definitely be returning! Staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

This hotel is in Peaslake a quiet village in the Surrey Hills which seems a million miles from busy Guildford. It is great value for money and exudes a calm and restful atmosphere. It has some nice quirky touches like a boot store near the door and a bicycle near the stairs which give it a homely feel. Fresh milk for making drinks in the bedroom is great. Good secure parking.

Everything about our stay was perfect, the staff are all totally charming, the room was the right temperature, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast choice is good, and my wife pronounced the cooked option very good. The selection of tea and coffee in the room is varied, and there's a point where you can get filtered water if you want, and more tea bags if you need them. You also have to love the mini-milk bottles :-)

The hotel is right in the centre of Peaslake and if you've got a room at the front (we had Room 4) you get a nice view. The adjoining pub gets a lot of trade (and is a great place to eat), but as the hotel has it's own car park that's not a problem.

We used it as a base to visit Guildford, surrounding villages and national trust properties, and Wisley RHS garden, all of which are within easy driving distance.

We'd stay there again in a heartbeat ;-)

Really lovely country b&b attached to a very nice pub. Stayed there with friends for a birthday party we had in the nearby Cranleigh. The staff were super friendly arranging our early check in as requested. Beds are comfy, bathrooms look new and clean and the free tea and coffee with little milk bottles of fresh milk are a bonus. The breakfast was good and they were more than happy to cater for our vegan friend. Good spot to to use as a base to visit the local area, would recommend

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights whilst our dog was having a procedure at Fitzpatrick Oncology in nearby Guildford. A really pleasant stay we had a lovely large room which also had a sofa in it. Good tea coffee etc in room with a coffee machine too. The fresh milk available whenever you need it is a great idea. Breakfast is nicely presented with good choice. The village is pleasant and quiet and the pub next door well worth a visit. Would stay again.
