Hammet House hotel

Llechryd, Cardigan, Pembrokeshire, SA43 2QA

Hammet House is independently owned & run by Owen & Philippa Gale.

We purchased the property in 2011, & set about transforming a beautiful but rather tired old country hotel into our vision of a contemporary-chic country house to delight the modern-day discerning guest.

You will usually find us on site, ably assisted by our friendly & passionate team.
Cornel heads up the kitchen, creating the fine dining, bar & wedding & event menus.
Emma Downey oversees the front of house, & Sam & her team of housekeepers are usually busily keeping the place spic & span.

Since our opening in 2011, we are delighted to have been graded 4 star by The AA & Visit Wales, become a member of the prestigious Welsh Rarebits Hotel collection, & are recommended in The Michelin Guide 2014 & 2015.

The 15 bedrooms at Hammet House are a spectacular blend of old and new. Light & airy Georgian rooms are styled with contemporary furnishings & facilities. Bathrooms are stocked with luxury Ren products & fluffy soft towels. Drinks tray with whole-leaf teas & our freshly ground WaDo coffee, along with lovingly made home-baked Hammet House goodies. The ideal base for a chic hotel stay in Pembrokeshire or Cardigan.

Our bedrooms are divided into Tiny, Cosy, Good, Fabulous & Outstanding.
We have one family room which sleeps up to 2 adults & 2 children, in a super-king bedroom & adjoining twin bedroom, with spacious ensuite bathroom.

Hammet House also has a Wedding Venue and Restaurant:
