Overview

Homewood can be found in 10 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds, just a few miles south east of the world heritage city of Bath. With 21 bedrooms, a relaxing spa and a restaurant cooking the best of home-cooked food, it's the perfect country hideaway for all the family, including the dog.

What makes a stay at Homewood unique?

With an inviting mix of roaring log fires, original 13th century features, 21st century comforts and statement art and lighting, everyone who visits Homewood is encouraged to feel at home. Indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, steam room and all natural and organic holistic treatments from ila are perfect for those with relaxation firmly in mind, while there's also a wealth of country walks to explore, right on the doorstep. Guests will love the warm hosting and hearty country-style breakfasts, while afternoon tea, to be enjoyed in leisurely style, is a must-try.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Homewood?

Homewood has six classic rooms, seven deluxe rooms, four junior suites, two master suites and two garden suites, all of which are en-suite. Many of the rooms can be twinned on request, and all except the classic rooms are dog-friendly. Supremely comfortable and elegant furnishings and creature comforts such as flat screen TVs, super soft robes and slippers, free wi-fi and Smeg coffee machines combine with large pieces of contemporary art and statement lighting.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Bath area?

Located just 15-minutes' from Bath, Homewood makes the perfect base from which to explore all the city's world-renowned cultural and historical highlights, while Longleat Safari Park, which is ideal for families, is also just over 13 miles away. The nearest station is Freshford, a quintessentially picturesque village set in rolling countryside, with a community-run village shop and idyllic 16th-century village pub, just a seven-minute drive from the hotel. Homewood is also just a 50-minute drive from Bristol Airport. Aside from the hotel's own 10-acres of gardens and woodland to explore and relax in, Homewood is ideally placed for walks or cycling along the Kennet and Avon canal towpath, or boating on the canal.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

A delicious breakfast is served from 8 – 10am daily, and guests can choose from the continental breakfast table or cooked-to-order from the kitchen offerings. A wonderfully seasonal menu, featuring the best of local produce – much of which is cooked over coals or natural woods – has been created by executive chef Marc Hardiman. Sunday lunch is also a highlight of the week. If guests wish to venture into the village, there's a much loved historic pub, while further afield in Bath, there's a great range of independent restaurants putting their mark on the culinary map, alongside the high street classics.

Pass a left turn for 'Limpley Stoke and Freshford', a right turn for Pipehouse, and a no through left hand turn. You will then see the sign for Homewood on your left. Take the turning left marked Freshford and Sharpstone and you will find the entrance to Homewood on the left hand side.
