Overview

With stunning views over the Sound of Sleat and mainland mountains beyond, Duisdale House Hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring the romantic Isle of Skye.

What makes a stay at Duisdale House Hotel unique?

Built as a hunting lodge for the Clan Macdonald family in the 1860s, Duisdale sits on its own grounds of 30 acres which include lush, sleepy gardens and extensive ancient woodlands. The hotel itself has recently been completely refurbished and is now a stylish, contemporary, retreat. Beyond its stone and slate exterior lie many original features; the original fireplaces, beautiful staircase and ornate ceiling cornices, which all blend perfectly with the hotels' new dramatic, chic interior. Luxurious, contemporary fabrics and wall coverings together with chic new furniture combine to create the perfect backdrop for the extensive a la carte menu, where each dish is creatively prepared mainly using fresh Island produce – all with a contemporary twist of course!

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Duisdale House Hotel?

Feature and Four Poster beds make up the eighteen, mainly double bedrooms, each one unique in design and layout. With the emphasis on romance and luxury, sensuous Temple Spa Toiletries, thick fluffy towels and crisp bedding all complete the luxurious package. The garden patio has a tempting hot tub to relax after a hard day sight seeing.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Isle of Skye area?

The Island of Skye is a world class tourist destination with wild mountain landscapes and stunning shorelines. Popular attractions include the breathtaking hike to the Old Man of Storr or Fairy Pools. Or learn more about whisky at one of the three Island distilleries. Duidsale also works closely with Skyefari who offer unique Wildlife Tours wher you can catch a glimpse of the Skye5.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Skye Seafood including Langoustines and Scallops, Lamb, Beef, organic vegetables and salad leaves are all skillfully prepared by the talented kitchen brigade.
