Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Enjoy an unforgettable dining experience here at Cliveden House at The Cliveden Dining Room.

Innovative, new British plates, fastidious preparation, and immaculate finishes in every exquisitely designed production shine through.

The love of local and fresh produce means the three à la carte courses and seven-course degustation menus are driven by English ingredients and directed by the seasons.

Located in the charming old stable block that once housed the most coveted fillies of Lord Astor. Adopting an equestrian theme in its decor, The Astor Grill is character-filled, offering a simple and casual approach to Cliveden dining.

The Executive Chef supervises the menu and focuses on a blend of traditional American and British recipes, many of which are reminiscent of the diverse owners of Cliveden and inhabitants. The name–the Astor Grill–is reminiscent of the Astor family which owned the house from the early 1900s. William Waldorf Astor, the wealthiest citizen of America, then gave the house to his in-law son and aunt, Nancy Astor, in 1906 and Cliveden became a lively social centre for visitors as diverse as Charlie Chaplin, George Bernard Shaw and Winston Churchill.

Today's Astor Grill is a cosmopolitan venue steeped in tradition, its romantic atmosphere offers all the elegance and legendary hospitality for which Cliveden is renowned, and is the ideal place to escape and enjoy lunch or a casual dinner.

Reviews

I have rarely been to a place so beautiful, with such a good atmosphere and such beautiful surroundings. It is difficult to believe you would be lucky enough to be able to have visited such a place. I have been for lunch dinner and breakfast and the food was perfect every time. The dessert both times was the best I have tasted of its type and the staff were so amazingly lovely it was hard to believe you weren't in your own house having a meal. Quite simply I have never been anywhere better!!
