WONDERFUL STAY! Although we stayed only one night we made the most of the hotel - breakfast, dinner in the restaurant, drinks from the bar in the lounge and enjoying the gardens out front. The decor is beautifully done, the service was friendly and the waitress/waiters were charming and very helpful. The room was clean, well laid out, very comfy bed, perfect pillows, coffee and biscuits and chocolate offered in the room. We stayed in the sea view room which was beautiful. It was £290 for a one night stay with breakfast and 3 course dinner included. We would definitely recommend it as the place to stay in lyme Regis and certainly stay again if were down that way. And having the sea view makes all the difference.

INCREDIBLE! BREATHTAKING! YUMMY! Funny enough we ended up visiting Lyme Regis by accident as we were driving close by so I decided to take my boyfriend and his sister to see the place. They were speechless!! Incredible views and so peaceful. We then decided to pop somewhere for some tea and I remembered I previously visited the Alexandra Hotel so I took them there. Very good service as always, amazing cream tea, very friendly and welcoming staff, beautiful place (the restaurant, the terrace and the garden) and breathtaking views!! Recommend to everyone, whether you are a couple, friends or family with children!!

PERFECTION! Although we only spent one night at the Alexandra, we left feeling completely refreshed after a perfect stay. It really was faultless: the room was spotless and stylish, the service was immaculate - helpful, but not intrusive or obsequious - but what really impressed us were the little touches from bedtime tea on our return to the room to a plate of chocolates at supper for my birthday. We are seasoned travellers and it's a particular pleasure to find somewhere so special so close to home. We shall definitely be back! Thank you.

Wonderful relaxing hotel. Last minute break for us. We had a bad drive down, but once we arrived all became well the world. Friendly greeting and we went up to our room to relax . Went down for a pre dinner drink and then we saw the fantastic view out over Lyme Regis. Very relaxing garden with fantastic loungers to drift off in . Very good food with excellent service. Wish we could have stayed longer. Try and book a garden view room . We will be back!

SUPERB HOTEL & SUPERB LOCATION! Spent an absolutely wonderful weekend in what must be the 'Go To' hotel in Lyme Regis. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the staff are simply amazing and so so helpful, the food (and cocktails!) divine, and the views breathtaking. What more could you ask for? Looking forward to returning as soon as time permits. This is definitely a hotel where you want to come back to time and time again.. Wonderful.

Beautiful location, excellent, friendly service and delicious food. From a table looking out to sea we enjoyed a two course lunch finished off with complimentary petit fours on a decorated plate saying Happy Anniversary in chocolate sauce. What a wonderful way to celebrate our special day. Thank you to all the staff at the Alexandra Hotel for making it a lovely experience

Beautiful hotel and grounds with a stunning view. This hotel just gets better & better, the food is locally sourced, creative and delicious. My room was large with glorious views of the bay, the bathroom newly refurbished and very stylish. Every comfort is thought of and nothing too much trouble. A perfect relaxing weekend.

SHORT BREAK! Practically perfect in every way. Attentive polite staff, fantastic room, fabulous food. Unpretentious unfussy understated luxury and relaxation. Best breakfast, perfectly poached egg, proper tea with pot of hot water. Lovely bar and cocktails before dinner, soothing unobtrusive music.
