From Noodles via Trip Advisor, Dec 2020 Beautiful hotel - we’ve booked for next year We stayed here for a week in the hotel over the Summer (husband, me and six year old), for one week. I was desperate to stay longer and the manager managed to accommodate me and daughter for another four nights without having to move rooms. The location is absolutely stunning and the pool a fantastic temperature. Some places a bit dated (I was surprised on arrival) but it’s fine. The Covid steps are exceptional - really well managed. As such, I have just booked to stay next Summer - two weeks in the Badger cottage and four nights again with my daughter in their newly renovated rooms. We chose on the cottage, as while the food is lovely. (and we will be eating in the restaurant often) I couldn’t cope with four course meals for 18 days! I imagine this hotel will become an annual holiday for us!

Lovely peaceful setting and great facilities. A friend and I have just spent three nights at this lovely hotel. We go on an annual walking trip, exploring the Cornish coast path, and this time we stayed in one place and did walks from there. The setting is idyllic: beautiful gardens going down to the Helford River and our room overlooked these. The food was excellent (we were booked on a deal that included the four-course evening meal) and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. They were even relaxed about our horrendously muddy walking boots! We enjoyed the indoor pool, Jacuzzi and table tennis too: perfect after a day's walking. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone: young and old alike. Review from Trip Advisor

Ray B Via Trip Advisor. First class. COVID secure. Staff are as outstanding as ever. Stayed in a beautifully refurbished room on the third floor - a “superior” room that did not disappoint in any way. Beautifully decorated, with a forensic attention to detail and a careful finish. The walk-in shower room was 5* quality. Superb food, as always. Great service. The staff in this hotel are genuinely focussed on and dedicated to the highest standards of customer satisfaction. The pool, hot tub and sauna are all available to enjoy with some simple health and safety COVID restrictions. 10/10. Outstanding.

From Trip Advisor: Fantastic hotel, with staff going the extra mile to keep guests safe and happy in all respects. We have stayed here many times over the years and have no hesitation in booking again. The location is perfect, tranquil gardens meandering down to the Helford River, never failing to impress and please. Golf course in immaculate condition, and offering both challenges and far reaching views. Super new hot tub affords great views over the 9th hole and beyond. So much to do and in great seclusion. Well done Budock Vean much appreciated!

From N K Stedman via Trip Advisor: Amazing stay We had 1 night at Budock Vean as pre Xmas treat unable to say anything bad about our stay. The room was warm luxurious top class bathroom large fluffy towels and bathrobes with slippers. Great swimming pool with outside hot tub which was immaculately clean . The staff are really on top form with sanitising after each visit always felt safe. Our evening meal and breakfast was served by friendly staff and we didn’t have to wait long for service. We will be definitely visiting again !!

From Trip Advisor: We could only book for two nights due to the popularity of this hotel. We met other guests who were frequent visitors and we can understand why people return time and again to this delightful place. The Covid planning here is also most impressive and to feel safe at present is obviously of great importance. All staff we met were so welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The food is also of a high standard and the service exemplary. Well done team BV and we look forward to our next visit.

Perfect Easter. We stayed for 4 nights. The staff were exceptional, the food is great and nothing is too much trouble. It is an old style English hotel, but the new rooms are beautifully designed and modern. Comfy bed, good shower. The spa treatments we had were great and yoga on the foreshore was perfect. The boys loved the golf, tennis, snooker, table tennis etc etc. It really suited everyone in our party of 6 aged from 27-60 and with hugely varied interests. Rreview from Trip Advisor

From Trip Advisor: We came for our 1st Anniversary. The hotel was spotless, staff were kind and helpful. Room was excellent my husband is paraplegic and it's the first time we have stayed anywhere and there was a bath and wet room in the bathroom. Grounds were stunning with a lovely walk to river, I booked the pool and hot tub for an hour to myself. Excellent food and Covid policies were in place which made you feel perfectly safe.

An enjoyable break in Cornwall. The hotel is comfortable and welcoming. The staff are helpful and the food is good. The room had all you need including a wonderful view of the beautiful garden. I would stay there again. For golf-lovers there is a course literally on the doorstep. Review from Trip Advisor
