Overview

Tabley House is the finest Palladian house in the North West designed by John Carr of York. It is home to one of the first collections of English paintings, including works by Turner, Reynolds, Lawrence and Lely. It also has a fine collection of furniture dating from the 17th century including work by Gillow and Bullock. The tea room serves light refreshments, lunches and teas adjoining the 17th Century chapel with Burne-Jones window.
