Great Missenden lies in the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire and was home to the late Roald Dahl. It is a commuter village to London with regular trains to London Marlybone station. The medieval church of St Peter and St Paul overlooks the village. Missenden Abby built in 1133 was a monastry which was ruined and the remains form part of the Georgian mansion which is now a conference centre.
