Overview


Visit the tranquil splendour of the House of Dun and Montrose Basin Nature Reserve House of Dun is a beautiful example of Georgian Architecture, overlooking the Montrose Basin, designed and built by William Adam in 1730 for David Erskine, Lord Dun. Inside are collections of family portraits, 18th and 19th century furniture and porcelain. Also on display are examples of the embroidery of Lady Augusta, daughter of William IV. The courtyard buildings house a handloom weaving workshop. Set amongst the splendid Victorian gardens and woodlands, this elegant home has a truly spectacular setting.
