Anchored by the sea on three sides with stunning views from every tee, Castletown Links on the Isle of Man is a golfer's heaven. Highlights include the 432-yard 17th with a tee on the edge of the cliff and a gully running across the fairway-Henry Longhurst was ranked as one of the best golf holes.
What sort of course features can the player expect?
There's just one tree on Castletown Links, but there's a number of excellent holes, including three par threes at eight, 13 and 16. It has its own' Road Hole' which measures 423 yards from the left to the right of the fairway and the outbound road and the beach on the right and the bank of the gorse all the way down the left. And as if that wasn't enough, it was voted in the Rolex Top 1,000 Golf Courses in the World (and number one in the Isle of Mann) and ranked among the best 261 golf courses in the world with a score of 90/100 better. National Club Golfer also voted 78th in the top 100 connect courses in Britain.
