Overview

The garden is laid out around a tangle of streams and ponds and has a huge collection of moisture loving plants growing with lush abundance. Every corner brings surprises and new interest. You can climb the spiral walk of the giant mound walk through a jungle of the huge leaves of gunnera, wander round the wild flower meadow or relax on one of the plentiful benches and admire the beauty. The garden is fun too with stunning follies which have often featured on national TV: there is a castellated tower with gargoyles which spout jets of water, a fern grotto with a domed roof made of wine bottles which sparkle in the sun, and a giant water powered cuckoo clock in a 23 ft half timbered oak tower.

Beautiful garden with lovely follies. Good selection of fauna with something to see from spring to end of summer. The cookoo clock is fascinating and very heath robinson.
