The seaside town of Silloth is on the Solway Firth in Cumbria near the lake district, with wide tree lined streets. There are plenty of hotels, guest houses and camp sites to stay. The climate is mild and there is a lovely sandy beach and a small harbour with fishing boats which catch Solway shrimps. The stunning countryside around the area is ideal for walking and cycling.
