Water Gardens in or near Orford

The pretty village of Orford is in Suffolk by the riverside with a magnificent 12th century castle built by Henry 11. At the top of the castle are splendid views over the countryside. From the riverside quay boat trips are avialable to Orford Ness, which is a National Nature reserve on a shingle spit off the coast.
