Gardens in or near Isle of Barra

The Isle of Barra is an island of the Outer Hebrides 8 miles long and 5 miles wide. It is a hilly island with Ben Heaval over 1200 feet high. The west coast of the island has white sandy beaches and the east rocky inlets. The island has magnicficent scenery as well as wildlife and wild flowers. There are some good hill and coastal walks. There is a small airport on the island at Northway which uses a beach as the runway.
