Gardens in or near Dunbeath

The hamlet of Dunbeath originates from the 1800s. Built to cash in on the herring boom there were up to 100 boats operating from the harbour. The hamlet is a lot quieter now and provides an excellent viewpoint for Dunbeath Castle. To the north of Dunbeath lies the Laidhay Croft Museum and the Clan Gunn Museum and Heritage Centre.
