Water Gardens in or near Dumfries

Dumfries town has a long and turbulent history and is the largest town in south west Scotland. The famous poet, Robert Burn's spent his last years here. A statue of him was sculpted in Italy in 1882 and is located in front of Greyfriars Church in the centre.
