Dingwall is situated at the head of the Cromarty Firth and is the County Town of Ross and Cromarty, just 12 miles away from the City of Inverness. Dingwall was made a Royal Burgh in 1226 and is an excellent base from which to visit many of the interesting parts of the east coast, the Black Isle and - to the west - the glens of the central Highlands.
