Walled Gardens in or near Battle

The town of Battle gets its name from the famous Battle of Hastings back in 1066. The town grew around the Abbey of St Martin. There are also some notable Georgian buildings and the Norman parish church of St Mary. A display of the local history can be found in the Battle Museum of Local History.
