These stunning gardens were first laid out by Guillaume Beaumont in the 1690s, and many original features are still in place today.
Beaumont was gardener to King James II and Colonel James Grahme, and his talent and creativity are very much still in evidence.

The hall itself is home to excellent collections of Jacobean furniture, Wellingtonia, paintings, wall coverings and early English patchwork. There's also a tea room, a gift shop and a play area.
